2. Norwich could have been the capital
In the 11th century, Norwich and London were the two largest cities and it was a close call as to which would be the capital of England.
3. Crime rates are low
Norwich is one of the safest cities in the UK, with crime rates far lower than most other urban areas.
4. Albert Einstein stayed here
While fleeing the Nazis in 1933, Einstein lived in a hut on Roughton Heath for a while before making his way to America.
5. Norwich market is the biggest in the UK
Ok, it’s the biggest open air market in the UK, but still, that’s pretty impressive.
6. Graduates hang around
About 40% of graduates from the universities stay on in the area, meaning there is a huge talent pool for local businesses.

Around 26% of the city’s residents are in the 16 to 29 age bracket, meaning the city has youth on its side.

Norfolk is one of the only counties in the UK not to have any stretches of motorway. Which is great news for low pollution, road noise and wildlife.
